    3. Thank you, Sandi. I really enjoy reading court cases, etc. so I always read your postings. I knew that Bailey Anderson b13 Nov 1753 in Stafford county VA had resided in Warren County but not that his brothers, John and Vincent were there too. The Anderson brothers were from the Pendleton District of South Carolina where Bailey and John fought the British in the American Revolution. Their father, John, and three brothers, Scarlett, Selah, and Joshua were killed in one battle on the Savannah River near the Georgia border. After the war, the entire family left South Carolina, most migrated to Kentucky where John Anderson's widow, Sarah Carney Anderson, received bounty land. Later at least Bailey and Vincent traveled to Indiana and then down the Mississippi to Nacodoches, Texas Bailey was well educated, an attorney and often a legislator. This court case was the first time I knew that John Anderson Jr was with his brothers on their migration west.
