Mary stated that she and Joseph were married in Monroe Co in January 1886; lived together until the (blank) day of 1886 - he then abandoned her and they have lived apart since. His reasons for acting thus and his treatment towards her is unknown to her - she never gave him at any time any cause to abandon her... no fault of her own ... she was affectionate ... usual wording. She tried to make their life peaceable. The separation occurred in Monroe Co; both were residents then. Prays for divorce. Her attorney was J. R. LESLIE. Depositions taken: Uriah RASNER on the 9th of June 1888 at Leslie's law office. 54 yrs old, resides Monroe Co, farmer. Knew the plaintiff all her life and the defendant about 15 years. He was at their house frequently; her treatment of defendant was good; kind and agreeable; used industry, assisted him. Both were born and raised in Monroe Co. He is living in Jefferson County. J B HUTCHINS, same time and place. 23 years old, resides Monroe Co, acquainted with both parties. Knows they were married at Sparrel FERGUSON's in the county; he was present at the wedding. Wm. R. HARLIN, same time and place. 54 years old, resides Monroe Co, farmer. Has known plaintiff about 12-15 years; defendant all his life. He was at their house frequently; she was kind to him as far as he knows. Defendant lives in Louisville; she lives in Monroe Co. Judgment: Adjudged by the Court that the plaintiff is entitled to the relief sought in her petition.
