Another short divorce petition with no resolution found.. Plaintiff: J W HALE Defendant: Tabitha E. HALE Date: 25 July 1892 File No. 217 Plaintiff says he and Tabitha were married 24 Feb 1887 and lived together as husband and wife until about 10 Apr 1892. Tabitha then abandoned him and they haven't lived together since. He said she was cruel to him, mistreated him, disturbed his peace and happiness. Said she would not do the house work and he had to quit his farm work and go do the housework. He said she is high tempered, ill and quarrelsome towards him and has struck him when she was mad. But he never mistreated her; provided for her as much as he could as a poor man. They had two children; the oldest is named Luella Bell (nearly 4 years old) and a boy named Herbert E (about 1). She has no way of providing for the children or their education. He prays for custody of the children and a divorce. BULLOCK & SCOTT were his attorneys. Any addition information on this one?
