Joy's daughter has informed us that the service for Joy will be this Thursday, 1-3 at J. C. Kirby Funeral Home in Bowling Green, 820 Lovers Lane. The service will start at 3 pm. Also, for many of you who have been on the list for some time, I just received a telephone call from the son of Tom Pennington of Muncie, IN. Tom, at age 91, passed away on Thanksgiving Day. Now, managing these lists, one makes friends over the years and some become dear friends. Tom was a sweetheart; I met him twice when he came down to do research; some of his family are buried in the Shady Grove Cemetery. He was just one of those individuals that you have an immediate friendship with - a sense of humor, a love of life and his love of genealogy. We shared meals at a local fast food place, talked genealogy and laughed a lot. He did not look or act his age, he was a young man at heart. I grieve his passing along with Joy's .... the Lord has called two precious souls.
