Joyce Stover on our list caught an error on the news items from Cumberland Co. I dated it 21 Dec 1899. It wasn't. The public library staff typed these items up many years ago and gave them to them; each column is dated - and from several years of papers. This one was in error. Joyce noted that: The T.A. Cary who was mentioned was Turner A. Cary who died in May of 1898. His appraisal and sale were listed in Cumberland Co. Will Book I, pp. 85 and 86, dated 26 December, 1898. Also, John Philpott's; death of 27 Dec. probably came from a different issue. So, I apologize; I don't have access to the papers so cannot double check.
