I apologize that I have been remiss in posting information about this great event - I've been glued to the copy machine. The South Central KY Cultural Center will be presenting its 2nd annual Harvest of History program. It will be held Sept 23rd & 24 (Friday and Saturday), and will again be a walking tour of the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with portrayers, in costume, representing the following people buried there. PFC Leon Atha will be portrayed by Dane Bowles; Miss Callie Beals will be represented by Patty Hughes; Major William Harvey Botts will be portrayed by John Botts; Mr Lucian and Mrs. Ella Carden will be represented by Todd & Ann Steenbergen; General Joseph H. Lewis by Brian Pack; Mrs. Flora Harvey Shannon by Barbara Pendleton; Mrs Indy Bass Weldon by Gina Lyon and John Wyatt by Danny Wyatt. Tickets are $10.00 each. Tours begin at the Cultural Center; people will be bused from there to the cemetery. There will be a limited number of golf carts provided for those who need assistance. Tour hours are both nights from 6 until 9 pm. You can pick up your ticket at the Cultural Center prior to boarding the bus. This will be very interesting; last year was a splendid event with a large attendance. I remember it well, portraying Miss Annie Gorin and attempting to sound, as a Midwestener, like a genteel Southern lady. If you get a chance, you WILL enjoy this! Sandi
