    3. Cumberland Co. Public Library has a copy of Marcella Headrick's work Monroe Co. marriage books in the genealogy department. I believe the period covered is 1865 to 1910. I don't know if the books were published extensively or not. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] Sent: Monday, June 25, 2012 2:00 AM To: [email protected] Subject: SOUTH-CENTRAL-KENTUCKY Digest, Vol 7, Issue 132 Today's Topics: 1. Questions about Monroe Cnty Marriage original books (Sandra K. I found a Whitney family and needed to see if I could find spellings, etc., from the 1930 census and/or the TX Birth Index. The head of the family was listed as H. H. and I wasn't sure what the surname was - the wife was listed as Lola. They had two children, Ina and Eugene. Since the surname was not clear, and the dad's name only showed initials, I looked at the TX Birth Index and searched for Ina Whit*. I was able to find Ina Mary Belle Whitney, and it showed she was born in Lubbock Co., but it didn't show who her parents were [she was born in 1925 and sometimes the birth index doesn't list parents that early]. Then I searched for Whitneys in Lubbock and found Henry Eugene Whitney, born 3 May 1930, and it showed parents as Henry Hobson Whitney and Lola Elizabeth Ferguson. I don't know where in KY Lola was from and I don't know anything else about her. I am a little curious about her because I had Whatley/Whitley ancestors who lived in Barren Co., KY, and I also had Ferguson ancestors from Barren/Allen Co., KY I hope this helps anyone looking for Lola Elizabeth Ferguson. Best wishes, Sharon [email protected] ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Sun, 24 Jun 2012 11:11:35 -0700 (PDT) From: "Ann M. A quick answer - the years that were transcribed from ancestry.com are from the vital statistics kept from that year. Eva Coe Peden transcribed from the microfilm and I have them published. They're in rough shape typing wise. I have other years coming up from Moena Sadler's records - not where I can check them immediately but perhaps they are there and I'll be posting them. I don't know about Marcella Headrick's books if they were published.
