I believe but I cannot prove except by circumstantial evidence that one of my ancestors, Susan C. Turner, b. about 1843 in Kentucky and d. July 18, 1868 in childbirth, was a daughter of Shadrach Turner and Ann Eliza (Elizabeth?) Hayes. She is listed as S. C. in the 1850 census. She married Whaley Jonas Bryant probably in late 1859 or 1860 as she is not listed in the 1860 census with her parents; however, I cannot find them anywhere in 1860.
