Judy Conley wrote me yesterday about the Bridges family. She found a message back in 1999 that I'd made with information taken from the Barren Co Pioneer certificate program. Her e-mail address is: [email protected] Thanks, Sandi Judy writes: In regard to the Bridges line, I have a significant gap after Richard Bridges (1798-1802), my maternal 3rd ggrandfather, and his father presumed to be James Bridges m. Nancy. I can find no records past mentions and a vague will abstract for Richard. I did see your post on him and you said James Bridges and Nancy Williams were his parents. However, the Nancy seems to me to be Nancy Ashworth, daughter of John Ashworth. Nancy Williams seemed to have married Thomas Bridges, son of John Bridges. Then there is the very serious problem of which James Bridges. I think he was the son of William Moses Bridges which ties him to the Prince William, VA Bridges and ultimately back to Isle of Wight and Gen Joseph Bridger. My problem with James and William is a big obstacle.
