I want to thank everyone who have made posts to the lists or written me privately about the "unhappy camper" who wanted everything there was from two early census reports. There has been sufficient said I think and I do appreciate your most kind words. We can end the discussion here. I told one lister privately something that maybe you can use as a motto in this crazy thing called genealogy - whether you are doing research for someone else or working on your own family tree. I give you permission to use it anytime you need it. When I worked for the IL State Police, I had a sign over my desk which sort of sums up all the problems of life - and researching: "The difficult I do immediately The impossible takes a little longer Miracles by appointment only."
