I'm going to be away from the computer tomorrow so am making Thursday's post a day early. Friday will start the Genealogy 101 course which will be posted to this and the KYBARREN lists. It will be an introduction to what we'll be looking at and laying the groundwork. Testimony continued in the death of AGE as to where he was standing, what the engineer did, the location of various train employees, the make-up of the trains and how they usually moved. Flagmen listed were: James McQUADDY; brakeman - Charles GOSHUM; both gave testimony that it wasn't necessary for Age to go between the cars. These were the only names shown as employees. Many other cases were sited and their resultant decisions. Lengthy discussions ended the case as to whether Age needed to be there, possible neglect by the L&N and the conclusion was reached that the L&N Railroad was not responsible nor the other employees who were on duty and that Age's estate should not receive compensation from L&N.
