I need help with research in Barren County because I live in California. I understand that my 4th great grandfather, John Logsdon, was granted a tract of land in Barren County in 1804. I would like to have a copy of that record. In fact I would like to have copies of land grants, other land records (deeds etc), and marriage records on any one named Logsdon between 1798 and 1819 in Barren County. The reason I need to see the originals is I need to see the full names listed, correct dates, witnesses and in the case of marriages the person who bonded. I only have a few abstracts that were given me years ago but information was left out of the abstracts. Anyone out there willing to let me hire them to do this job please email me personally at [email protected] Also I have been trying to find tax records online for Hardin County, KY and I have had no luck. I can't even find the list online for Hardin County. Does anyone know where I should look for these things. I am very computer literate but have not used Rootsweb a lot and I'm lost. I'm sure a lot of you people working in South-Central Kentucky also are searching in Hardin Co. Thanks for your help. Gloria
