    3. Hi Linda and everyone, I am not sure about how to make corrections. The spelling is horrible on some of the pages - along with the handwriting. Two different people type up the same page, and then they are sent to someone else to see if what we typed are the same. We have to type them up the way they are spelled on the page. Even when I find the name in a previous census - or in TX, maybe on the TX Birth Index - and type it the way it should be, the person [arbitrator] who checks what I did will change it back to the way the census taker spelled it on the 1940 census. I was reading something that said after it is all done that they may eventually display all three pages in the index: what I type and what the other person types and what the arbitrator submits. Hopefully there will be a way to submit corrections. Good luck on your research. I haven't looked for my folks yet but I am hoping to find them. I asked my sister where they were living in 1940 and she thinks they were living in Dallas. When I download something to index, they come alphabetically by county. Last night I downloaded 6 pages and they are from Dallas. My family probably won't be on those pages, but someone might index them today. I am excited. Best wishes, Sharon [email protected]
