    3. I am looking for any information on Joseph White, who lived in Monroe County from the early 1800's to about 1850, when he moved to Missouri. He was married to Salina Taylor, and most of their 10 children were born in Kentucky. I am particularly interested in learning the identities of their respective parents.

    1. [SCKY] ROLL CALL - Green County - Ellen Carlisle Campbell
    2. John Morrel via
    3. I am seeking information about a relationship between William Carlisle, Revolutionary pensioner who died in Jackson County, Tennessee in 1843 and Ellen Carlisle Campbell? Ellen is said to have lived in Green County and William in his 1833 pension application mentions unnamed sisters in Kentucky. 1. Can anyone document residence of Enos and Ellen Carlisle Campbell in Green County cir. 1795 - 1820 or later? 2. Can anyone document the parents of Mary Ann Campbell and Enos Campbell? They would probably have been born in the 1750's. I have never seen documentation of Mary Ann's brother's given name, but the relationship is proved by affidavit taken from Amos Kirkpatrick, third child of Robert Kirkpatrick and Mary Ann Campbell, on 3 July 1856 in which he identifies the children of Enos (not named specifically) and Ellen and says that the father of one of the children and Amos' mother were brother and sister. There is a marriage bond for daughter _Polly Campbell_ to _Charles Dyer_ in Green County, KY on 17 July 1798. Other children of Enos and Ellen Campbell are said to be Thomas Campbell, Nancy Campbell Jennings, Elizabeth Campbell Sanders, Abigail Campbell Lincoln and Peggy Campbell. Enos and his sister Mary Ann are said by some to be the children of Thomas Campbell, wife unknown. John Morrel

    3. Plaintiff: Mary A FERGUSON Defendant: Daniel T FERGUSON Date: 20 Nov 1897 File: 279 This case is even longer than the previous thus I will be abstracting heavily, but including all names and pertinent information. Couple was married in Monroe Co 17 May 1897; both have resided in the state continuously. Defendant in a fit of anger has repeatedly Plaintiff with great bodily harm and threatened to drive her from her home; has failed to provide her and her children from securing necessary items except by selling her own personal property. Usual statements used saying "cruel and inhumane treatment", etc. She also asked for alimony and payment of her attorney's fee. Deposition begin. Chas. VIBBERT, Superintendent's office in Tompkinsville 30 Sep 1898 (so written, would be 1897). 44 years old, lived in the county, a blacksmith, knew the parties. The Plaintiff is a sister of his wife. Mentioned visiting them, the children. He though Deft. was providing for Plaintiff. Did see one racket due to the child fretting and the "old man" kindly asked her to attend to it. She kept child quiet from 9-11 pm; the old man scolded the child several times; would slap him if he didn't quit; old man got out of bed and slapped the child harder than Vibbert thought he should. The Plaintiff got out of bed and tried to take the child out of his arms; might have hit her. He pushed his wife back by putting hands near her breast and neck. Plaintiff threatened to hit him Deft with a poker; Deft responded with profanity. Wife threatened not to sleep in the same bed with Deft. Question to Vibbert: "Did you know anything about the Plaintiff having abandoned one or her former husbands. He answered that it had been reported that they were separated. She had been married 3 times and had three children with her at old man Ferguson's - 2 of them were about 6 and 8 and one was 2 or 3. Ended by saying that Ferguson's reputation was not very good in the neighborhood. Many more questions then were asked about if she cooked for him, how often the Deft was absent. Under cross-examination said the child that was slapped or whipped was the 2-3 year old. Lived 2 miles from the family. Deposition of John S BUSHONG, same time and place. Age 18, lived Monroe Co, farmer, knew parties. 1. [SCKY] ROLL CALL TIME
    2. Sandi Gorin via
    3. It's been a few years since I've called for a roll call. What's that? It's when I open up the list for you to post the names of ancestors in South Central KY who are your brick wall. Please follow these simple guidelines: Subject line - Put ROLL CALL - and then the name and county (if known) of the individual you are seeking information on. Sample: ROLL CALL - Barren Co - Josephus Schwartz (no such person!!!) Keep the query easy to follow and not huge. Give the information you have (date of birth, death, marriage, whatever) and what you are seeking. Sample: Am seeking the burial location of Josephus Schwartz who was born Barren Co about 1793, died about 1860; was married to unknown spouse. We'll run this through next Friday. Of course, you are always welcome to submit queries to the list at all times, but this is an extra opportunity.
