Hi This is a long shot, but I accidently landed on an old chat page and saw that you help with genealogy. If so I will tell my story as simply as possible and hope for a response!! My mother's father was Alexander Davis, born in Scotland about 1904. We know he has a son in East London, Eastern Cape one Ronald John Davis ID 3101265062086. Unfortunately none of the children sired by him have a shred of information about him. We know from mom's birth cert that he was a plumber by trade. He duly fathered all these children and then upped and said he was heading back to "Aberdeenshire". According to Ronald they never saw him again. I am currently trying to attain Irish citizenship on the grandfather I know but he is not a blood relative as mom's birth cert specifies Davis as the father!!! I am desperately trying to find someone to help trace him. If you could help I would greatly appreciate it. Kind Regards Marianne Ross
