Hi Lynette, I have had such difficulty tracing back on the Phillips family, I haven't even managed to establish how or when or with whom she arrived in South Africa. Do you know where Mary married Herbert Cornelius Hunt? The Cornelius name is very "Afrikaans" I have a cousin in the UK who is also researching, I'll see if he can come up with something.
