Dear listers, In my quest to discover more about my great-grandmother, Cornelia Fredrika/Fredericka WEINEKES, who married my great-grandfather George William WILSON, I have discovered two more spelling variations of the surname: WIENEKUS and WINEKUS. The latter belongs to Franciscus, a Corporal from Germany who was married in Paarl, Cape in 1787 to Susanna SMIT. It is entirely possible that my ancestor stems from these two last mentioned people if the data in SAGenealogies is correct. In the meantime if anyone comes across these new spelling variations in their databases, I would appreciate any information shared. Regards, Marielle Ford
