Hi Elspeth I have one CONNELLAN/MULLIGAN connection on my CURRIE tree. Drothea O'Carroll MULLIN (1898-1989), daughter of Patrick James MULLIN and Mary Ann PHILIPPS, married, in 1908, Bernard Reginald CONNELLAN (1890-1965), son of John Jim CONNELLAN and Mary Ann Elizabeth MULLIGAN. I have no other details for Mary Ann Elizabeth MULLIGAN besides her name. This CONNELLAN family lived and farmed in the King William's Town/Stutterheim district. Don't know if this will be of any help to you. Kind regards Ian Currie On 2012/10/24 10:06 PM, Elspeth Muirhead wrote: > Hi Darryl > > I only know about my Mulligan's (married to a Smith) and a Fitzgerald's in > King Williams Town. Hi Ian Thanks very much! It does - that is the marriage I've referred to but only had the surname. Another piece of the puzzle - how exciting! It is also very interesting to see where they farmed - my great grandfather was Mary Ann's MULLIGAN brother and I know he farmed in King William's Town/Komgha district in the early 1890s. This is added confirmation that family members seemed to have moved into that area from Post Retief where they were born. Best wishes Elspeth -----Original Message----- From: south-africa-eastern-cape-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:south-africa-eastern-cape-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Ian Currie Sent: 25 October 2012 06:38 AM To: south-africa-eastern-cape@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [ZA-EC] Tracing farms Komgha & Dordrecht / Indwe districts/CONNELLAN/MULLIGAN Hi Elspeth I have one CONNELLAN/MULLIGAN connection on my CURRIE tree. Hi Elspeth, Glad I could be of help. If you have any additional information on Mary Ann Elizabeth MULLIGAN, and her husband, particularly dates, I would be most grateful if you would share. If you are interested, I can send you, off list, a file of the descendants of Bernard Reginald CONNELLAN, her son, and Dorothea O'Carroll MULLIN. If anyone else is interested, I am happy to share.
