    3. Hi Ian I have no dates on Mary Ann Elizabeth MULLIGAN. I got a Facebook message from a descendant in July this year, but failed to see it until a week back - she has not responded yet. I will make a note and send you the dates when I get them - I think I can trace her through another Facebook relative. Mary Ann Elizabeth MULLIGAN was the daughter of Lawrence MULLIGAN (abt 1820/3-1888) and Rose Amelia SMITH (1824-1894) (married 1847 Fort Beaufort). They farmed on Hartebeesfontein, Winterberg, neighbouring Post Retief, owned by Rose Amelia's father, John Joseph SMITH (1779-1852 = 1820 settler) from 1847 through the 1850's. Lawrence MULLIGAN was the son of a John and Mary MULLIGAN, but I haven't been able to establish whether this was the John and Mary MULLIGAN, part of Turvey's party. In fact, it going on records, it looks not, despite name and dates. Records show 1820 settler Mary dying, and John remarrying a Sarah MENZIES and having three daughters. I wonder whether Mary died in child birth with a son - my Lawrence. I would love the CONNELLAN descendants off line Ian. Thank you. If you have any additional information on Mary Ann Elizabeth MULLIGAN, and her husband, particularly dates, I would be most grateful if you would share. If you are interested, I can send you, off list, a file of the descendants of Bernard Reginald CONNELLAN, her son, and Dorothea O'Carroll MULLIN. If anyone else is interested, I am happy to share.
