My wife's Wright ancestors hail from Port Elizabeth, with a family story that Wright Street in PE was named after this part of the family. Pffffttt I though until I found a marriage record today, with one of the Wright's living in Wright Street, PE in 1938. Perhaps there is some truth to this story. Question is, is there a way to find out who a street is named after in city records? regards Malcolm
