In the Port Elizabeth suburb of Miramar there seems to be quite a few streets bearing familiar "1820" names. Does any lister know if this was done deliberately or is it just coincidental? Names like Godlonton, Biggar, Newcombe, Thrackwray, Hockley, Dugmore, Kirkman (probably named after a well-known but unrelated PE pharmacist) and Jeffrey (corruption of Jeffries?). Just curious Peter
