    3. Hi Ellen , I have been an avid follower of your postings / information / transcriptions and wonder if you would be able to guide me to the information I am looking for . I am not living in South Africa so am unable to visit the various offices . Archives in Cape Town , Durban and Pietermaritzburg have failed to reply to any of my emails/fax/letters . I have scoured all known records / genealogy sites but without any luck . MY FATHER : Gerald Lawrence Baxter (Father = Samuel Herbert , mother Winifred Florence) , born 8-9-1914 (Stockwes Basin) , died 2-10-1993 Port Edward . I have found his baptism in the parish of St. Ans___ion in Cala , district of Xalanga , but am looking for a copy of his birth record/certificate and his death certificate . MY MOTHER : Ilva Blossom (Meier) , (Father = Wilhelm Gustav , mother Millicent Ilva May) , born 26-5-1932 , died 12-5-2005 in Hillcrest Natal . They were living in Basutoland ('Verona' trading station , near Quachas Neck) , then to 'Elokolweni' trading station near Matatiele . She attended the Convent school in Kokstad . I am looking for copies of both her birth and baptism certificates and death certificate . FATHER & MOTHER : Were married in Durban (I believe at the church near Greyville race course / Stamford Hill -- 'St. Agnes' ??) on 26 or 27 December 1949 or 1950 . I am looking for a copy of the marriage certificate . Your assistance would be greatly appreciated . Kind regards Kevin Baxter

    3. Hi Kevin, For some reason, I did not receive your original post, only Bruce's reply. I don't think I have any documents that would be of use to you. I mainly collect documents from the 19th century. My database of Natal marriages stops about 1922 or so. The only year the LDS has copied birth records is 1895, and only for the Cape. 3. Ellen, Is there another Natal list? I am trying to track down various children born in the 1860s in Natal but haven't a clue where to start. I believe they were born in Durban and Colenso area.
