    3. Thanks Sybil I'd be happy to transcribe Kokstad, but so far, up to 1910 it hasn't featured in the Eastern Cape Civil Deaths, nor has Cedarville, so I think they must have been part of Natal. Looking at the map, above Kokstad and Harding is an extra bit of Transkei on the Umzimkulu River. And on the Lesotho side there is another extra bit where Herschel is situated. I also see that Maclear and Matatiele are in EC, just outside the Transkei border, but as I've started on them, I'll continue. Good luck with your searches, Mary -----Original Message----- From: south-africa-eastern-cape-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:south-africa-eastern-cape-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of sybil banisterjones Sent: 06 January 2013 18:45 To: SOUTH-AFRICA-EASTERN-CAPE Subject: Re: [ZA-EC] Advice please Hi Mary, Forgot to mention Cedarville, also a very tiny little town but close to Kokstad, before Matatiele.
