My Mom, Joyce was from the GREEN family, originally from Cambridgeshire, then briefly of Uitenhage, then the Buffelsfontein Farm, Port Elizabeth and finally of the farm, 'Smiling Valley' in Bulugha/Kwelera, near East London. My Mom's father was Leonard Cyril GREEN, b. 'Smiling Valley' on 21 August 1895, youngest of 14 children of Robert Frederick GREEN, b. 23 March 1846 at Lode, Bottisham, Cambridgeshire and Louisa Jane NASH, b. 18 Feb 1853 at Port Elizabeth or Alexandria. Len married my Gran Alice PACHONIK, whose gran, Sarah Ann MCCABE (married B.D. MARAIS) and had a daughter, who I believe, married a PEINKE. Long way round, I know - but it may have some relevance.
