    1. [ZA-EC] Missing NELSON and BECKER relatives!
    2. Rowena Nelson
    3. Greetings, Listers I have had some success in tracing the children of a George Albert Nelson who married Augustina Wilhelmina Becker through the Anglican baptism records on FamilySearch, but have as yet been unable to find out much more about George Albert and Augustina Wilhelmina themselves. All their children were baptised and confirmed in Holy Trinity, King Williams Town, and one of their children died in King Williams Town and is buried there. Burial records in the town (helpfully provided by Stephanie at the Amathole Museum) show no trace of George Albert and Augustina Wilhelmina having been buried there, though. We have been unable to find a marriage record for them in the records for Holy Trinity held at the Cory Library, but Augustina Wilhelmina was German, and so it is possible that they were married in a German church, although I don't even know what denomination her family was. We have a couple of addresses for them which we tried to trace through the King Williams Town deeds office, but it seems that they never owned the properties they stayed on (unless, of course, our searches were incorrect, somehow). Searches on NAAIRS (across RSA - All Archives Repositories and National Registers of non-public records) have so far yielded no death notices or any other applicable documents. >From research into the Bekker/Becker families conducted by Johan Pottas and Annatjie Tiran and published on the GSSA site, I was able to find siblings and parents for a Augustina Wilhelmina who married a George Nelson, so that's a little something on her, assuming she's the correct one, but I have nothing on George Albert. 1. Has anyone come across any info relating to a George Albert Nelson or a Augustina Wilhelmina Becker in their meanderings which they would be willing to share? I estimate that they would have been born around the 1870s and that they died somewhere between 1925 and 1947... 2. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations on other avenues I could pursue to track these two down? Thank you and kind regards Rowena
