    3. Hi Listers I am a new lister and am trying to trace more information about my great-great-grandfather, Henry Horne, who was born in 1829, married Christina Catharina Bingle (daughter of Thomas Bingle, 1820 settler) in Somerset East and had various children including my great-great-grandmother, Ellen Horne who married Laurence Murrell also in Somerset East. >From the index cards at the Somerset East Museum, it appears that Henry Horne was a blacksmith. Does anyone perhaps have any knowlege of Henry Horne, where he was born or who his parents were?  I would appreciate any information available. RegardsSue Wessels

    3. Much appreciated Cheri.  I am interested to see he was the son of an 1820 Settler, Robert Henry William Horne (or Horn).  I have the names of five children, Robert George, Mary Anne, Henry, John and Eliza Jane but will keep looking for the other two.   I see Henry is entry no. 657 on page 109.  Entry no. 658 is for his brother, William Carsisle.  I wonder if this is a transcription error as the Chaplain was William Carsisle.  Perhaps I could check it at some time. Sue
