Good Morning from a warm 6 am morning, Going through old ELLIOTT emails received in Feb 2010 I have found an anomally. In an email from Mike WRIGHT on 19 Feb 2010 he refers to Grace ELLIOTT as the wife of Thomas BRENT when she arrived at the Cape. I an email posted by Marielle on 19 Feb 2010 Grace is referred to as Grace Booth ELLIOTT. Grace did marry a Benjamin BOOTH on 21 Dec 1854. Did Grace revert to her maiden name? Hi Rod Grace remarried after the death of Thomas BRENT in 1836. She married Benjamin BOOTH in 1854, as per the following entry in the Methodist Parish Records for Bathurst: Entry #62 Husband: Benjamin BOOTH, No Entry, Widower, Gentleman, Grahamstown Wife: Grace BRENT, No Entry, Widow Date: 12/21/1854 Witnesses: Thomas TARR, Mary TARR Have a look at her entry on my site: http://www.albany1820.com/getperson.php?personID=I14372 She was born ELLIOTT (her parents were John and Elizabeth, according to her DN.)
