    3. Hi John, Thank you for the information provided, and as describe by you, a treasure-trove of information can be found in the Death Notice. To prove your point, Johannes Matthys de Beer *20 December 1857 ~25 January 1858 +19 January 1923 x Johanna Christina Pretorius * 22-11-1869, the Death Notice entries show his children were baptised in Pretoria, he died in Regents Park Johannesburg, and was married in Krugersdorp. Fortunately I live in Cape Town, and have found most of the Death Notices relating to the members mentioned in my previous mail. It is with the marriage certificate that I find difficulty in tracing as the wives are not always from the same area as the husband.
