Listers will recall that for many years I have been trying to locate the birth/baptism of Irene Myrtle TEE whose burial on 27 January 1910, aged 11 months, is recorded in the registers of St Katharine's in Uitenhage. (Originally, I was given her name as June Myrtle TEE which proved to be a misreading of the entry.) I tried the usual places, but even the Cape Province Civil Death record was unhelpful because, though it provided the usual information, one crucial bit was missing and that was the name of her father/mother. Now, after all these years, the brick wall has been demolished: I have found that she was baptised in Christ Church, Mayfair. The purpose of this email is to thank all those who over the years have given me encouragement and have helped me and given me advice in trying to find her baptism/birth and to say: never give up!
