Oh what a a treasure trove. This is what really makes genealogy interesting. In this age of unbelievable magical gadgets even my children are gobsmacked by our ways. Thanks to all. Irene's hot water bath brings a chilly memory and I remember the irons our maid had to fill with hot coals from the stove. And she ironed immaculately with those heavy big cumbersome things. And thanks Dennis for that link. In fact thanks all severally and individually. I got more than I bargained for.
