(haven't heard from you for years) Any help you can give Colin I am sure will be appreciated. He lives in Florida, USA. colincage@gmail.com. Craig, I am sure that Isabella BROWN is on that very long list you once sent me. I have not put her in my FTM too distant from my line, but I see Isabelle CLARK b. 30 Oct 1913 married Cecil Frank WIGGILL 1900-1940 m 1 Feb 1936. Can you sort that out for Colin? NOTE also Colin's other names, familiar names too. I think it best if you all would deal straight with Colin. Saves that one step ........ Many thanks again Pat Frykberg From: Colin Cage Sent: Monday, August 24, 2015 12:43 PM To: Pat Frykberg Subject: Re: YOur Clark family Hi Pat, I came upon your name on a message board on the internet that had a message from a number of years ago dealing with the Clark family in South Africa. I think your involvement was possibly to do with the Brown family who were married into the Clark family. I have been involved in researching our family history for a number of years and recently came upon a document that opened up an area that had been very murky and I was able to move forward. My ggrandmother on my mother’s side was Beatrice Elizabeth Clark (1891 – 1955) and she married Charles Chowles (1887 – 1918) in Mafeking in 1910. (Charles was one of the Mafeking Cadets under Col. Baden-Powell during the siege of Mafeking during the Boer War and I believe she was a child also in Mafeking during the siege) Beatrice’s father was James Ferguson Brown Clark (1857 – 1931) who married Francina Berendina Bothma (1873 – 1947) in 1890. His father was Charles Clark (1822 – 1931)who was married to Isabella Brown (1831 – 1906). His father was Charles Clark (1783 – 1847) who was married to Sarah, and came to SA with their three children with the 1820 settlers. I would be most grateful if you could shed some light on any of the people listed above, if you have any. I would also sincerely appreciate if you could put me in touch with anyone who could help me with my search. The family lines that I have research on in South Africa are: Chowles, O’Callaghan, Margolius, Clark, and Lindsay. I had also attempted to send you a message on FaceBook, but do not know if I was successful. Take care and look forward to hearing from you. Colin South
