Dear Fellow Listers,   Is anyone in the Cape area researching the Turner family? I am looking for JAMES FREDERICK TURNER who was born 1878 in Chelsea London England.He arrived in Simonstown with his widower father CHARLES EDWARD TURNER born 1855 and his sister  my gr grandmother EMILY FRANCES born 1880 sometime after 1889 when their mother MARY ELIZABETH nee HONEYBALL died  in London and 1902 when he shows as a witness to a baptism at St Francis church in Simonstown. I am also looking for any HONEYBALL(this spelling is used in all my records found in england) I have one Edith Honeyball in simonstown so am guessing the families came out to the Cape either together or to join other family members.Both the Turners and the Honeyball family were furniture upholsterers employing workers in the english census's but Charles shows as a plumber on his death notice.
