Hello All I have recently found out that Charlotte Kathleen (Kathleen Charlotte) MILLER died in Durban on 21/02/1946 aged 73 but was born in the Cape Province. I am therefore assuming that her parents, Mr. Unknown MILLER & Miss Catherine Charlotte ELOFF were probably married within a few years of her birth around 1870 - 1872. The naming patterns suggest that their oldest son, Frank William MILLER, was probably named after his father. I'm looking for confirmation of their daughter's birth as well as their marriage please. She died a widow in Grey's Hospital, Pietermaritzburg (PMB), Natal aged 81 in 1927. Born circa Feb 1846. Buried in Dutch Reformed / Presbyterian section of the Commercial Road Cemetery in PMB. She was the mother of: Charlotte Catherine/Kathleene WALTERS (neé MILLER) - born ±1873/1874. Frank William MILLER - unknown. Charles John MILLER (born Wepener, O.F.S. circa - born ±Feb 1880. Annie Elizabeth WALTERS (neé MILLER) - born ±1881/82 (my 2nd great grandmother). I have no idea who C.C. ELOFF's husband was or where she was born in the O.F.S. nor do I know who her parents were. It was Charlotte's son, John WALTERS, who founded Albany Bakery in Durban. I'd appreciate any input whatsoever.
