Hi Tricia Do you not have a copy of the death notices of Francis Henry or his wife? Have you not thought of putting your family tree on local South African website as their might be more chance of someone contacting you than on a website that gets diluted from every country around the world? Do you not have a birth certificate of for Verna's birth certificate as that would be the sure way to find out who her biological parents were or perhaps her death notice? I think Francis Henry Barkley & Wilhelmina Johanna Barkley were my maternal grandparents. The record of their divorce is the only record of them that I can find. I can find no record of their birth, marriage, Wilhelminas subsequent marriage, their children or their deaths. My mother was Verna Elizabeth Barkley possibly also known as Chapman. I have been able to find out quite a lot about her step father Robert Arthur Chapman but nothing about her biological father (known as Henry Barkley) or her mother Wilhelmina. My Family Website can be viewed here http://triciastevenson.co.uk/ Thanks for reading Regards Tricia ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SOUTH-AFRICA-CAPE-TOWN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
