Hi all, I'm trying to source as much info about our family (Pieterse) from Western Cape late 1800's to present. Most of the older generation has passed away with their knowledge but I remember a story that the surname used to be Pietersen and changed to Pieterse. The family lived in the Ceres district and also in Tulbach and later in Stellenbosch. Names: Johannes Jacobus Abram Pieterse I (b 23.01.1891 -d 02.02.1972) Hendrika Johanna (Geldenhuys) Pieterse (b 01.10.1893 -d 11.07.1947) Johannes Jacobus Abram Pieterse II (b 07.03.1918 -d 14.04.1972) Huibrecht Aletta Johanna (Truter) Pieterse (b 14.07.1926 -d 09.03.1979) Obviously the surname changed pre- 1891 but I have no information as far back as that.
