    3. Hello Fellow Listers Is anyone able to shed any light on the below paragraph below please? "Great Grandfather... Jack Norman Victor Walters came to S A Boer War 1899 1092 Innis Schillings Dragoons.... Irish . On mobilization of Innis Schillings Dragoons should be graded with Royal and Scots Greys... landed Queenstown 23 /24/ 25/ 1899 on SS Jamaican. SS Siberian...S S Persia...228 Officers ...558 on Commissioned Officers and Men 496 Horses..." My second great grandfather, John Charles WALTERS (aka Charlie), was born in unknown circa 1863/64. (His sons being Charles James Edward WALTERS - Pte, South African Medical Corps 1917/18; Pte, First South African Infantry Brigade 1918/1919; John WALTERS and Victor WALTERS). His younger brother, Norman WALTERS, was born in unknown circa 1865/66. (No sons to my knowledge & a daughter christened Methodist). Their younger/older brother, George Jack WALTERS, was born in unknown circa unknown. (His son was named after him). All the brothers' children were born in Pietermaritzburg, Natal from Feb 1899 to Mar 1917. We believe Jack Norman Victor WALTERS (born in unknown circa 1840) to be the father of the above-mentioned sons surely making him too old to have enlisted in the Boer War in 1899?
