Mary Calmeyer with daughter Violet Calmeyer travelled from Cape Town on the Aberdeen line ship 'Salamis' (sailing from Brisbane via ports) that arrived London 13 Jun 1904. On that manifest the mother's age is given as 34 (ie. born abt. 1870) and the daughter's age is given as 2½ (ie. born abt. turn of the year 1901/1902). Both are marked down as 'British Subjects, English' (not marked down as 'Born in British Colonies'). regards, Barry
