    3. One can get a copy of the service record of anyone who served in the SA forces. They are not the fastsest when it comes to a reply but eventually you will get all they have in their records on a particular serviceman. I even got the pay records of my dad however I also got the records of another servicman with the same surname mixed in with it so I suspect that some of the older records may have got a bit mixed up in the various moves the documentation made when it was consolidated in Pretoria. I sent them and e-mail and they replied asking for a postal address so if you include it with your initial requsts it may save some time Below is the intro found on the website. It looks as if it is only the airforce but in fact the info is for all service arms. The website is http://www.saairforce.co.za/contact Neville Rasmussen ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ How to Obtain a Personnel Record: Records of all South African servicemen in the Army, Navy and Air Force are held in the SANDF archives.
