    3. Hi All, You have encouraged me out of lurkdom Heather. My grandmother, Rosalia WERNER arrived in Cape Town on the Godeffroy in 1877 aged 2 and I would very much like to find the marriages etc. of her siblings and possibly trace relatives. The ship entry I have is : "WERNER, Johann Jacob, farmer (36 years old) from Caneau in Russia, with this wife Catherina Dorothea (35), and Marie Catherina (15), Amelie (10), Johannes (7), Jacob (5) Rosalie (2), Johann Friedrich (younger than 1) on the Godeffroy in 1877. Another son, Christian, was born in South Africa. He is the only one of the siblings that I knew. Rosalie married Jan Geerts MINNEMA around 1894 probably in the German Evangelical Lutheran Church where their first child was baptised (is St Martin's ? in Long St ? if memories of 50 years ago serve me). Anna Katharina Caroline Minnema Born 23. Februar 1895 Bapt 7 April 1895 St Martini Kirche Pastor GW Wagener Johann Minnema und Rosalie geb. Werner Sponsors : Konrad Binedell, Karoline Werner, Catharina Schwerdt and Christian Werner. (Record details from the certificate in her late daughter's possession.) I used to grill my much older cousin, Anna's daughter, and amongst the family lore I gleaned was that they had come out to the Cape on some sort of farm settlement scheme and that Rosalie's sisters married brothers named LANGE. I remember visiting some cousins in Rhodesia and Johannesburg as a child but don't remember names. I would greatly appreciate any help and learning how I can find further information; also what methods of payment are accepted. Best regards........
