Heather & Dunia: Thank you for the information and the offer of assistance. From the information provided by Heather I have a couple of questions. 1) Is the Somerset Road Cemetery still in existence? If so how can I contact them to get the plot numbers etc. 2) Concerning the death record of MJC Paton, nee Prys a notice is provided (see Peter Philip: British Residents at the Cape) Is this a book or a reference work? Is this available via the internet or would it be available in say the main library of Cape Town? 3) From the family records that I have it indicates the George Ponty Paton died at 16 Strand St. I am assuming that this is a residence but am I correct? Does the street still exist and is it still a residential area? 4) For genealogy research is there a particular library or archive that I should go to in Cape Town? Again thanks for the information.
