    3. Hello Peter St John's is the Anglican church in Wynberg. (not Episcopal). Their baptism records start around 1832 - and yes it is possible to access them. If they lived in Wynberg in the 1850's and were Anglican then I am sure they would have married there. Then there is St George's Cathedral in Cape Town itself which also dates from 1834. The Cathedral records up to 1900 are housed at the Cape Town Archives. There were other Anglican churches nearer Wynberg such as St Paul's Rondebosch which I am sure was also there in the 1850s and St Saviour's Claremont - but my money is on St John's if they were a Wynberg family. I am not sure about Anglican churches in Paarl.
