Hello Heather, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Am enjoying your mailing lists. My name is Carol Nortje and I live in Queensland, Australia. I am trying to research my husbands side of the family. His father was Petrus Cornelius Nortje born 30 Sep 1908 in Jansenville, Cape Province and died in Johannesburg on 21 October 1963. We think his brothers names were Daniel; James; Anton; Wilfred; and also two sisters who died during a Flu epidemic between 1914 - 1918. We don't know the parents names but think his Mothers Maiden name was Roach and that she came to South Africa from Northern Ireland as a girl. I think there were quite a few Nortje relatives in Port Elizabeth and probably still are. Would really appreciate some help from someone out there. Kind regards, Carol
