Good Afternoon All, I have been trying to find a lead on this Stanley family group. The father should be JR Stanley ? away after the AOB but before 1917 x LHM Groenewald???? Although they lived in Cape Town all their lives. When he arrive in the Cape is also not know. They had 7 or 8 children. Unsure if it 4 Males and 3 Females or the opposite. There is a possibility that one of the daughters did return to England. At least two of the sons were killed in the AOB. Then In Naairs I found a Uncle/brother TT Standley which gave his wife as JW. Uniondale?? His Father was a R Stanley Mother I Stanley Which does not correspond although the children names does. It was mentioned that the father family was hardly debated on. One of this family group has built a house in phases in Hout Bay called Salamander ?? Search result Whaling and a Tin Mine. I have a photo of a part of this house which was totally square and look like stone was used with a small bridge on the corner. Any suggestion? Kind regards Elizabeth
