Hi there folks, We are Mike and Jocelyn Bannister. Mike was born in England and Jocelyn in New Zealand and we live in Albury NSW on the NSW Victoria border, in Australia. Our interest in Capetown is that in 1821 Peter Hardman, a Lance Corporal in the 49th Regiment of Foot of the British Army and Lucy his wife, had a son John in your fair town. I would be interested in talking with anyone who might be researching this family, or who might have access to burial records or baptism records for the 3 years previous and 10 years following John's birth.
