You may have replied and I missed it – we had some trouble with this computer earlier in the year, and one of the things that happened was that I lost all my e-mails, read and unread, as well as my address book.  I found the piece “We are the Chosen” on the South Africa Cape Town mailing list, and you mentioned that you were forwarding it with the permission of a person named Charlie Moore who had posted it on another list. I am the editor of a newsletter for a family history group in Australia, and as this piece is so moving and so appropriate for all family history researchers, I wanted to use it.
