Edward came to Africa having been born in England circa 1860 the grandson of Viscount Bolinbroke. It appears to have married Florence Jane Coote Field circa 1890. She may have previously married a Mr Harvey. The Natal birth briefs show a daughter being born in the early 1890s and a son Lauriston Willyams St John Kneller who served in the 4th South African Infantry and died in ww1 a young man of 23 in 1917. I would grateful to make contact with any living relative of Edward or knowledge of what became of his heirs. I believe that Florence after the death of her father John Coote Field provided 400 acres of her inheritance for the use of St Marys school for Girls in a district now known as Kloof.
