Hi everyone, I have an unusual enquiry about my grandfather from Cape Town He went over to train as an Apprentice blacksmith in UK , and the Shipping line that took all the young apprentices from Cape Town, South Africa should have a record of his name. In order to be accepted for immigration he would have had to fill in plenty of forms about his parents. If anyone has any idea of such a list which would have been compiled in the early 1900's. My grandfathers name was Benjamin Beaconsfield Smith. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks Helen ________________________________
