Hi Tammy, Willmore = Willowmore, Southern Cape as is George, also known to be in the South Western District. Regards, David B Hi Everyone I would like to find out who I can pay to find someone for me? My child is two this month and I just cannot find the time to do research anymore but I would dearly like to find my ancestors and complete the tree (Im only interested in the people who came to SA, I'd like to know where they came from and thats it, don't want to go too far back). Here is the last ancestor, I would dearly like to find his parents and I've had no luck so far, so if there is someone out there who can help I am very happy to pay for your time. George William Henry OLIVER born 5 March 1857 in George, Eastern Cape. Died 5 April 1948 Johannesburg, Transvaal. Married 18 September 1881 in Willmore (don't know where this is), South Africa to Gertruida Johanna Gericke born 2 June 1864 in George, Eastern Cape. Died 2 November 1947 in Potchefstroom, Transvaal. (Her Parents were Barend Paul Gericke and Maria Susanna Loock). I've spoken to some other Oliver descendants and some seem to believe that they are from Irish stock and that the above George's dad's name was George William Oliver and his wife was Mary, but this isn't confirmed. I've been in contact with Martha Maria Elizabeth Van Der Valk (nee Oliver) who lives in the Eastern Cape and who's dad was Benjamin Paul (see below) but she hasn't any recolection of her grandparents or great grandparents, which is a pity. But it was fun to speak to such a grand old lady! They had 5 Children; John William OLIVER, Gertruida Johanna OLIVER, Benjamin Paul OLIVER, George Henry OLIVER and Ann OLIVER. And up till my dad's era, all the children have had the same names as the above! My dad Being Lawrence Henry and his Father being George William. My dad has 5 daughters and so couldn't carry on tradition. If anyone knows of someone who can help please, please let me know. Regards Tammy
