I read recently that arrangements were underway by the Khoi-San, Khorana, and Nama communities to remember the 500th Anniversary of the "Battle of Salt River" when the Khoikhoi overcame the Viceroy of India, Francisco del Meida and some sixty of his men in 1510 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_de_Almeida). Is there a web link or contact person someone can point me to for further details regarding the date, venue, and programme? I understand it will form part of this year's Day of Reconciliation celebrations in Cape Town. Any information will be appreciated. Colin G Garvie
