Searching for any info on a Charles Maclachlan, apparently he had about 9 wives through his life. My great grandmother was a Windsor (not sure of her name) she had 4 children and died giving birth to her last. All four children were sent to an orphanage in Queenstown. All I know is that my gran once told my mom that it was a church orphanage and that she used to sneak out of the window and go into the orchards to steal food to feed her sisters and brother. Their names were Winifred, Charles, Evelyn (my grandmother) and Gwendalyn. Their father was Charles Maclachlan and for whatever reason he did not take the children, they were sent to an orphanage when Granny Windsor died giving birth to Gwendalyn.
